Senator Ryan Opens Applications for Summer Internship Program

Applications due May 15

The Office of New York State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) is now accepting applications for its Summer 2025 Internship Program. This opportunity offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to gain hands-on experience in public service, government operations and community engagement within a fast-paced State Senate office serving Onondaga and Oswego Counties.

“Internships offer students a meaningful opportunity to learn about public service from the inside out,” said Sen. Ryan. “Our office is proud to mentor the next generation of leaders, and I look forward to working alongside a passionate and engaged group of interns this summer as we serve the people of Central New York together.”

Interns will work primarily in person at Senator Ryan’s District Office, located at 333 E. Washington Street in downtown Syracuse, with occasional travel throughout the district.

The internship will run from June 13 through August 8, with the possibility of extending into the fall semester, depending on academic schedules. Interns may apply for either a paid position or an unpaid, for-credit internship. Applications are due May 15. Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter to ChrisRyan@nysenate.gov with the subject line “Summer 2025 Internship.” Returning interns are welcome to reapply.
